Listings in San Diego County and Imperial County, in alphabetical order, not ranked.

These listings haven’t been checked by an outside expert yet.How checking works

Here’s what that means. These listings come from public sources — the Regional Center’s vendor lists and the providers’ own websites. We haven’t checked each one against our own list of facts yet.

Until we have, the listings are in alphabetical order, not ranked. When we check a provider, we’ll write down what we found and the date. Check with the provider before you go.

How we check providers

We check facts about every provider in a county, whether they pay us or not. We write down what we found and the date. We do not rate the therapy itself, because we have never seen it. Parents’ reviews sit in their own box, in their own words. Money never changes a check. Every provider can reply publicly.

How we check providers →

We removed one category — personal chefs and diet meal prep. We could not narrow it honestly to medically prescribed diets (allergy, feeding-tube, or dietitian-directed), so we cut it rather than list diet programs for children.

We are also holding one category — tax preparers. We have not yet checked which preparers know the caregiver-pay income exclusion, and a parent who calls a generic preparer about it can get a wrong answer. The category stays off the site until that check is run per provider.
